Emergency Services Wing

Emergency Department

The emergency department consists of the ambulance bay entrance and six emergency patient bays, allowing for the replication of diverse scenarios, including cardiac arrest, trauma and multi-casualty simulations. The immersive situations experienced here help prepare students with the technical skills and emotional response capacity to address real-world, life-or-death crises as members of interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Command Center

The command center serves as an incident emergency command center for administrative and clinical management of internal or external emergency or disaster simulations.

Ambulatory Care Wing

Outpatient Clinic

The clinic setting provides another stop in the continuum of care. The students interact with standardized patients with a myriad of complaints in an outpatient clinic and conduct focused assessments in the development of clinical decision-making to provide safe, quality care. Video teleconferencing and telehealth capabilities help students effectively care for patients after discharge or before admission to the hospital.
